Game Freak are recruiting for “mystery” console title

Gotta catch em’ all…we hope at least

The minds behind the Pokemon mainline series, Game Freak, have posted an ad for a job working on a console game. If that isn’t enough to stoke the console Pokemon rumour embers the job description sure is. “Here’s a chance to work on the development of a globally popular RPG!” There are ads for a Game 3d CG designer and a Character Model Creator.

Sun and Moon were critically and commercially well received and it is tradition that a third more refined outing take place in a game series before a generation shift occurs. There have been persistent rumours that Pokemon Stars will be that third title and that it would find itself setting up shop on the Nintendo Switch. If these turn out to be true it would be the first full Pokemon RPG title to make it to a home console and the Switch is poised to take full advantage of such a game with the ability to be played at home and on the go.

As with all rumours take this with a grain of salt and it is worth noting that the name Pokemon doesn’t turn up once in any way shape of form. But with statements like “It’s a title that just about anyone knows, a proposal that could be your future career” and “We’ll have you work on the production an RPG game that is popular on a global scale” so our fingers are crossed.

We will update as soon as more information becomes available
