DOOM multiplayer to enter open beta next week

Everyone can have a sample of hell

Doom came out of its closed beta on Monday, with a mostly positive amount of reviews. It featured 2 levels and 2 different game types to play. Unfortunately, none of us here got the chance to have a go. To play it you either needed to have been gifted a code or pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order way back when.

Thankfully, id Software and Bethesda have come to our aid and allowed a completely open beta from the 15th of April until the 17th. That’s a whole weekend of multiplayer madness. It kicks off at either 12:00am Estern Time, or for those of us in the U.K, 5:00am and will run until 11:59pm EST/4:59 BST. Although no official details have been released, I’m guessing you’ll need to go to your relevant platform’s store and search for it. Here’s hoping the servers can cope with everyone downloading at the same time.

Doom is out on Friday 13th of May.
