video game’s V.S superhero movies the battle for the future

Will Video Game-inspired films succeed the Saturation of Superheroes?

Ever since Marvel hit the big time with Iron Man back in the late 2000’s, superhero movies have been on something of a winning streak, at least on a financial level, not one box office flop to date. However, the likelihood of Disney keeping their winning streak going is looking less likely with each passing movie, their luck has to run out soon and with Civil War, one of Marvel’s most beloved comics, about to hit the big screen, all eyes are on disney to do the story justice.

Blizzard’s flagship World of Warcraft and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed, the two biggest names in gaming, are getting their long-awaited movie debuts in 2016. I believe that the video game/film adaptations might try their hand at encouraging the repeat custom of the casual movie goers, such as Disney has done for nearly a decade now. With the likes of Duncan Jones’ Warcraft (June 3rd) and Justin Kurzel’s Assassin’s Creed (December 30th) dropping later this year, there’s going to be a lot riding on the financial and critical success of these two films, not just for their own sake, but for the sake and security of the successor to the superhero genre.

What do you think will replace the superhero movie?
and how long will marvel hold their crown?
