New Trailer lands for “Dad’s Army”

All-star British cast lead adaptation of classic comedy series

The newest trailer for Dad’s Army hit the internet just a couple of days ago and it looks to be really quite good

For those unaware of Dad’s Army, it was a highly successful British TV sitcom in which ran from 1968 to 1977. It was set during World War 2 and centred around the comedic exploits and buffoonery of The Home Guard, local volunteers who, due either age or exemption, were considered ineligible for military service. The show featured, almost exclusively, characters who were over conscription age and derived humour from how grossly ill-equipped and uninformed their ragtag platoon was.

The film, due for release February 5th 2016 (in the UK), features an ensemble cast lead by Toby Jones in the role of Captain Mainwaring, Bill Nighy as Captain Wilson and Tom Courtenay as Lance Corporal Jones, all supported by Mark Gatiss (Mycroft), Blake Harrison (Neil, Inbetweeners), Sir Michael Gambon (Dumbledore II) and Catherine Zeta-Jones who will be playing Rose Winter, a glamorous reporter come to report on The Home Guard’s exploits.
